Reach Accounting and Netregistry race past 10,000 Cloud sign ups in 33 days

It's exactly 33 days since the launch of Netregistry's FREE cloud-based online accounting software and we are pleased to announce that on the last day of the 2011 financial year we have surpassed 10,000 sign ups.

This cloud software endeavors to provide an easy-to-use online accounting solution that's tailored specifically for Australian small businesses. Netregistry, Australia's leading business cloud services provider, teamed with Reach Accounting last month to provide an opt in free online accounting service to all 250,000 Netregistry business customers.

The success of this product launch highlights the need of Australian SMEs for an accounting service targeted specifically for their needs, without the excessive features and functions of other applications, such as MYOB, which offer cumbersome and often expensive accounting solutions.

Talking about surpassing the 10,000 mark, Netregistry CEO Larry Bloch said "It's great to see so many Australian SMEs embracing cloud functionality - despite media claims that Australian business aren't ready. It proves emphatically that SMEs are desperate for cloud services and are comfortable with cloud security. The fact is, if provided by a reliable and secure company, the cloud carries no more risk than 'traditional' software. This has been proven by the success of our software and shows that SMEs are happy as long as they are using a trusted supplier."

The Reach Accounting service is currently going from strength to strength as it not only celebrates achieving a significant milestone of sign ups, but also enjoys high and rapidly growing activity rates.

Bloch further states that "We expect to overtake other key competitors soon. It seems that SMEs are hungry for a product which is specifically designed for them, something which MYOB fails to deliver. The days of inflexible and expensive desktop software are gone. We are on target for over 150,000 sign ups within 12 months."

Reach Accounting is being offered as a free 2 year subscription to all Netregistry brand customers, but will be rolled out to the Netregistry Group Ltd's other key brands within the next few months, thereby more than tripling the customer base able to access this cloud service.

Though cloud technology was under suspicion and more so due to security level at the beginning, now it is gaining more acceptance among users. I think Australian SMEs have no doubt about it and that’s the cause for your success. Cloud makes the online data storage and retrieval more efficient and error free. So it has its own effect in financial sector.
