DNS Interface
Adding domains, editing zone records, MX records, sub domain names, A records
This service allows clients, who have Dedicated Hosting with NetRegistry, to use our free online DNS interface to manage their domain names thus ensuring they do not need to run nameservers on their
dedicated server(s). They can make changes to a Domain Name Zone File , including the ability to modify MX records, A records, sub domains, etc.
Adding a domain name
- Login to The Console
- Click on "Dedicated Hosting" icon which can be found towards the bottom of the page
- Click on the server associated with the service under “Server ID”
- In the section titled “DNS Interface", add your domain name in the text field (Does not require the www)
- The page will not reload with the domain name listed under ‘DNS Interface’
- You can now click on the domain name that you wish to edit and follow the instructions titled Instructions on creating zone files (found at the top of the page) to create or modify MX records, A records, sub domain s, etc
Please note you will not be able to add a domain to this interface if you have existing services with NetRegistry that are attached to the domain name such as shared hosting, email services etc as it will possibly cause service conflicts. You should contact dedhosting@netregistry.com.au for assistance with this.
