Accessing your Managed Backup Data

This page explains to our Dedicated Hosting customers who have a Managed Backup service to access their data from our backup infrastructure.

You can use FTP to access your backup data.

Accessing the FTP Details

  1. Login to The Console
  2. Click on "Dedicated Hosting" icon which can be found towards the bottom of the page
  3. Click on the server associated with the service under "Server ID"
  4. You will find the FTP Server, Login and Password under the section titled "Managed Backup FTP Details".

FTP restoration of files is fairly straightforward. If you use FTP, we recommend using ncftp because it can recursively download files. FTP is not recommended for restoration where permissions and file ownership must be retained.

Please note that Netregistry can assist with server restoration after a crash, hack or other incident. However, Professional Service fees may be billed on a time basis. To have us assist in a non-emergency restoration, send an email to dh-support@netregistry.com.au. During an emergency, which requires immediate response, please follow the emergency response procedure that has been provided at the time of server setup.
