Configuring an eCommerce store with Netregistry's eCommerce payment gatewayIf you are developing customised shopping basket applications, you can configure the Netregistry eCommerce payment gateway with your solution. You do not need to host your Online Store with Netregistry to take advantage of free eCommerce Payments. Access via an External APIIf your script or application is not written in Perl, the choice is made for you. The external API can be used in any language that supports socket calls, and works somewhat similarly to many other internet payment gateways, such as authorize.net or others.
Access via a Perl APIIf your script is written in Perl, you may wish to use the Perl API. The Perl API acts as a kind of shortcut to the gateway. MIDs and other settings are auto-detected, and you don't need to worry about them, just install and run and the API will take care of user information for you. By removing a layer from the process, the Perl API is also faster than External API by 1/2 to1 second. However, developing for the Perl API has the downside of being more complicated than the External API, and having an approvals process. This may be undesirable for you. All of the pre-installed scripts are written using the faster Perl API. Access via ASP componentsIf you wish to use an eCommerce application developed in ASP, you will find an easy-to-use ASP script in your /secure directory on the ASP server.
Access using externally hosted shopping cart softwareMany of the world's most popular shopping cart applications have integration with our Payment Gateway hard-coded into the software. These include Ezimerchant and X-Cart.
