What are SSL certificates?

A Shared SSL Certificate is hosted on a seperate domain - https://4tknox.au.com/ - and is available to all eCommerce Customers. This creates a new web address for the secure section of your website similar to:-

https://www.4tknox.au.com/yourbusiness.com.au/

Alternatively, a Dedicated QuickSSL Certificate allows your website to maintain it's own web address:-

https://yourbusiness.com.au/

Both the Shared SSL Certificate and Dedicated SSL Certificate are equally secure, but the Dedicated SSL Certificate offers additional benefits such as offering your visitors the ability to see your company name and website address when viewing the SSL certificate details.
