					  <link>http://www.netregistry.com.au/news/articles/402/1/Press-Release---Australia-gets-a-Google-first-/Page1.html</link>
					  <description>Australian companies Netregistry and Devnet
partner to deliver Google Apps(tm) to business via a channel - an Australian
first.Australian companies Netregistry and Devnet have forged an Asia
Pacific first strategic alliance to resell Google Apps to Australia. For the
first time a version of the Google Apps suite has been created specifically for
marketing through a channel rather than Google's global model of marketing
direct. Devnet is partnering with
Netregistry, Australia's leading domain name provider to bring Google Apps to
Australia. The Google Apps suite
includes local domain name integration, business email solutions, collaborative
calendars, and corporate instant messaging. With Google Apps businesses have the
next-generation communication and collaboration tools they need to manage
electronic communications, share and publish information, and stay connected
while on the go.

					  <title>Melbourne IT &#38; WebCentral Merger</title>
					  <link>http://www.netregistry.com.au/news/articles/111/1/Melbourne-IT--WebCentral-Merger/Page1.html</link>
<description>NetRegistry is disappointed with WebCentral board's decision to reject pursuing our $1.65 to $1.75 per share, $74m to $78m proposal to acquire the WebCentral Group. Larry Bloch, CEO of NetRegistry said &#34;NetRegistry had full confidence in securing the necessary equity sufficient for a fully funded offer of $1.75. What we lacked was support by WebCentral's Board. Our view was that the support of the WebCentral Board was the pivotal condition remaining for our proposal.&#34; &#34;I believe our proposal is significantly better for WebCentral shareholders. At $1.75 cash WebCentral shareholders would have a better deal. However, without the WebCentral Board clearly indicating their support for a bid at that price, we simply ran out of time&#34;, said Bloch. NetRegistry has 10 years experience of hosting, unlike MelbourneI T who has just two years. We have our own dedicated, Australian based infrastructure compared to Melbourne IT's outsourcing arrangement with a US based hosting provider. NetRegistry is the third hosting business founded by Larry Bloch - the first of which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and the second was sold to another UK listed plc. </description>
