By Jonathan Crossfield | Published 14/May/2009 | Press Releases | Rating:

The annual Cebit trade show, Darling Harbour, has become the home of a heated debate, after Netregistry's Web Clinic caused a few vocal social commentators to find a new way to get their names in the press. Now dubbed by media as the "naughty nurses", the stand's use of two sales girls in nurse uniforms has been dubbed sexist and offensive by up to six or seven people, across IT and mainstream media – it is believed up to half of these seven people have actually visited the stand.

» auDA recklessness damages Australian domain industry
By Jonathan Crossfield | Published 20/Apr/2009 | Press Releases | Rating:

20 April 2009 - The Supreme Court's decision to grant a temporary injunction against the Australian Domain Name Administrator (auDA) on behalf of Bottle Domains has thrown the domain industry into a week of instability and chaos. There is now the possibility that - if Bottle Domains wins its case - auDA may be subject to severe damages for loss of business, potentially bankrupting the tightly budgeted administrator. "Chris Disspain of auDA has acted as judge, jury and executioner by cancelling Bottle Domains' accreditation so suddenly, and this action is now proving to be grossly negligent," says Larry Bloch, CEO and co-founder of Netregistry.

By Jonathan Crossfield | Published 16/Feb/2009 | Press Releases | Rating:

10 February 2009 - "There is no better time to launch into online business. If our customers are anything to go by, online business owners are more confident, more profitable, more likely to be planning business growth, and are performing better than the general business community. Fact!” says Larry Bloch, CEO of Netregistry – Australia’s favourite provider of domains and associated services. A recent survey compared Netregistry customers, primarily consisting of online businesses, against a sampling of non-Netregistry small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The results revealed some stark differences between the two groups in their reactions to the world economic downturn. “The online sector promises strong and steady growth in these times of economic uncertainty.”
