My name's Tom and I'm one of the directors of Partner IT. we're an It company which specialise in IT services, hardware procurement for servers, workstations, laptops and part of nowadays and services include having a website and register domain names and all the technical aspects to that which is all the records we need to modify - and that's where Netregistry fits into our game.
Over the last 10 years being a Netregistry partner or reseller, we now have over a hundred and fifty services with Netregistry and it's growing all the time.
We were exposed initially at one of the trade shows, I think it might have been ceBIT, one of the conferences. At that point, being involved in IT we get exposed to a lot of different players out there and we did choose Netregistry for the fact it was very simple and the support was absolutely exceptional.
As a Netregistry reseller we sell, we resell the registration of domain names as well as the hosting services, the DIY bolt on kit so people can build there own websites and we also do custom web development so then we use the business hosting packages with MySQL databases, the PHP scripting and the SSL certificates, very common for us.
Having a reliable infrastructure for us is again critical. all of our customers do have email, the majority of them do have websites, if not we're working on them as we speak. So having downtime can affect operational business. A lot of business do rely on email and if email goes down then there is an impact. So, absolutely critical to us, no question about it.
Using a local provider is very important to us. We want to be able to call up anytime we want, dealing with people in different countries is very hard to get support so, keeping it local definitely makes a lot of sense to us. We want to keep our business local just like we are.
