Toby and I started Bluewire Media in 2005, and it's a web design business based in Brisbane although we're expanding now to Sydney.
We started off doing web design and hosting and its expanded from their to include the strategy and the web execution, followed by the updates and support.
In the early days hosting was a challenge for us which is why we are probably talking to you guys and obviously thats an important part of managing a clients online strategy and making it easy for them and taking that grief away from then. Unfortunately we were the ones wearing the grief when we came to Netregistry to help us manage that process for our clients.
Most of clients do really want to know how hosting works, they just know they need to have it and they trust us that we pick the best suppliers in the business to host their website. So, there's a lot of trust and a lot of the time they just want to know its going to work.
I think when we came over to Netregistry in the first place there could have been 20 to 30 clients and now were in excess of 300 clients on the servers I'm fairly sure. Our hosting backbone has been really strong and it's allowed us to grow our business and grow the number of clients we've had on our respective servers. Its been a tremendous benefit to us as a business.
It's much easier to turn to somebody like Netregistry who are the best in the business, rather than go in and try and do it themselves. I mean we never tried to do it ourselves, we just used different suppliers. It's such a technical area that to attempt to do it yourself I think would just be way too difficult and way too unreliable for your clients. There's a perfectly good model available of using Netregistry's servers and reselling that as a partner that it's profitable, it's reliable and it allows you to provide that great service that you want to, to your clients.
I think as a Sydney and Brisbane web design business, Bluewire Media has really been able to grow and prosper with Netregistry as a partner and I'd recommend all agencies certainly consider it because its been very valuable for us.
