Adding videos in SiteBuilder

Adding a video hosted on an external server to a SiteBuilder page

1. Login to SiteBuilder.
2. On the Website Manager menu click the Edit link corresponding to the page for which the video is to be added.
3. Click [Yes, Proceed to edit].
   
4. Choose the appropriate page type, and click [Submit].
5. From the toolbar located at the top of the page editor, select Edit HTML from the HTML drop down menu.
   
6. Click [OK].
7. Locate the area for the video to be added and paste the embed code taken from your video hosting provider (if you are not sure how to get this embed code, please see your video hosting provider for further assistance).
8. Click [Submit].
9. Click [Preview Changes] located at the top of the screen.
10. Click [Appove], then [Publish] to save your changes to your live website.

Note: the embedded video may not be visible in preview mode and the site must be published to display the embedded video correctly. As with all web page embedded videos, your visitors web browser must have the appropriate plugins enabled to automatically play the embedded file.

Adding a video hosted on Youtube to a SiteBuilder page

Youtube videos may be added into SiteBuilder following the instructions above

However, SiteBuilder also contains an easy Youtube embed option that doesn’t require the copy or pasting of any embed code from the Youtube website.

To use this feature:

1. Login to your Master Account console.
2. Locate Administer/Upgrade domain along the left hand side of the page.
3. Search for or select the domain to which the email hosting applies.
4. Click [Administer].
5. Click SiteBuilder.
6. Click Goodies & Addons from the left hand menu.
7. Click the Youtube icon.
8. Paste or type the URL of the Youtube clip to be embedded into SiteBuilder.
9. Select the Advanced Options checkbox to edit the title or alignment of the video and click [Submit].
10. Click the page name for which the video is to be added, and click anywhere in the content area where the YouTube video is to be placed.

Adding a video hosted on the Netregistry servers to a SiteBuilder page

You can include video files in your Text pages in SiteBuilder using the following steps:

1. Upload the video file via FTP to the web hosting server.
2. Login to your Master Account console.
3. Locate Administer/Upgrade domain along the left hand side of the page.
4. Search for or select the domain to which the email hosting applies.
5. Click [Administer].
6. Click SiteBuilder.
7. Click the edit button next to the page of your choice in Website Manager.
8. Click [Yes, Proceed to edit].
9. Choose the appropriate page type, and click [Submit].
10. From the toolbar located at the top of the page editor, select Edit HTML from the HTML drop down menu.
    
11. Click [OK].
12. Find the area you wish to add your video to and paste the embed code below.<embed src=”http://www.<your-website.com/movie.mov” height=”pixelheight” width=”pixelwidth”>

    Where: your-website.com/movie.mov is the location to the movie file that you have uploaded, and pixelheightand pixelwidth are the respective measurements in pixels of the player window on the web page.
    
    e.g. <embed src=”http://www.mywebsite.com/movie.mov” height=”200″ width=”300 “>
    

13. Click [Submit].
14. Click [Preview Changes] located at the top of the screen.
15. Click [Approve], then [Publish] to save your changes to your live website.

Note: As with all web page embedded videos, your visitors web browser will need to have plugins enabled to automatically play the file as embedded in the page. Also, the default player may not recognise the video format you’ve uploaded to the server.

The SiteBuilder default player does not recognise flv or mp4 files.
