Netregistry wishes to advise that CNNIC (China) domain registry has announced a hold on all .CN domain registrations from overseas registrars, including registration’s through the Neustar provider.
As a result of this suspension, all new .CN domain registrations will be disabling and any pending registrations will be suspended by Tuesday, January 5th, 2009.
Please be advised that all .CN domain services will continue to operate, including renewals and transfers etc, however orders for new .CN domains will fail.
There is no timetable for the resumption of new registrations. We will keep you posted as new information becomes available.
