Traffic stats manuals

Netregistry customers have the ability to monitor their traffic statistics online, via the console.

To have access to your online traffic stats, log in to the console, administer your domain name and click on “Web Hosting”. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Click here for traffic statistics” under ‘Traffic Usage’.

The traffic statistics will give you comprehensive information on how much traffic usage is being consumed by your website on a monthly basis.

Values on traffic Stats:

WWW (Gigabytes) – Total amount of data downloaded from the web servers by visitors to your website. For example, files being downladed by your website users, such as pictures and online manuals.

FTP (Gigabytes) – Total amount of data used for file transfer protocol, including downloads of new files to the server and downloads of files from the server. Generally, the amount of data used to update your website.

Mail (Gigabytes)- Total amount of data used by our website to send emails. For example, if you have a newsletter application that automatically send Emails from the server, this mail data will be reported in this section of the website.

Total (Gigabytes)- Total amount of data used from our webservers for WWW, FTP and MAIL.

Please note this data is for total webserver traffic usage by your website. It differs from the statistics for our website. Whilst the traffic statistics will provide you information on how much data your website is consuming from the web server, the web statistics will provide you enough information to measure the behaviour of visitors and track details of your website.

Automatic Traffic Usage Notice:

Netregistry will email the current contact email address on the account to notify of traffic usage when the usage hits 80%. At this stage, the system will try to estimate how much traffic your website will use between now and end of the reporting period, and offer estimated cost to you as the account holder.

You may wish to upgrade your bandwidth/traffic allowance at this stage, depending on the estimation.
