When did Click 'n Go become part of Netregistry Group Ltd?

Click 'n Go was acquired by Netregistry Group in 2011, after a widespread security issue with Distribute.IT, its previous parent company.

What is happening with Click 'n Go?

Customers from Click 'n Go will be consolidated into Netregistry Group's premium retail brand, Netregistry. This consolidation will commence at 6:00pm AEST on Wednesday 21st August and conclude by 8:00am AEST Thursday 22nd August, 2013.

Will any of my domains or services go down during the consolidation?

No, domain name and hosting services will not be impacted. This is a consolidation of customer databases and will have no impact on the availability or accessibility of your domain names and/or website hosting services. Hwoever, during the consolidation window you will not be able to access your account online to make new purchases. We assure that your domain name, website and email services will NOT be impacted as a result of this change.

How do I log in to my account after the brand consolidation?

After the brand consolidation on 22nd August you will be able to log in to Netregistry's customer administration portal, called the Console via https://theconsole.netregistry.com.au. Your username and password details will not change and will stay exactly as they are now. After the consolidation your old login page will be automatically redirected to Netregistry's.
 

What level of customer service and support can I expect from Netregistry?

Since the acquisition, the Netregistry support team have been providing support to all Click 'n Go customers, therefore you will continue to receive the same level of service during and after the consolidation occurs.

What are the Netregistry Support Contact Details?

Will the cost of my EXISTING services increase as a result of this consolidation?

No, all of your current subscription services will continue to renew at their existing prices.

What happens when my services are due for renewal?

Your renewals will be processed by Netregistry at your existing prices on your current renewal dates. The only change you will notice is that, for your convenience and to ensure uninterrupted service, any annual services will now be automatically renewed (like the monthly services renew currently) until they are cancelled.

What about NEW products and services?

Netregistry offer a comprehensive suite of services that can help you grow your business online. These include domain names, hosting, web design, online marketing, VPS and security based products. After the consolidation, you will be able to purchase any product that is offered by Netregistry and new services will be charged at Netregistry's competitive pricing.

Will my existing Click 'n Go communication preferences change?

No. We have transferred information about your communication preferences from Click 'n Go to Netregistry. For example, if you were previously receiving our newsletter or promotions, you will continue to do so. You can change your communication preferences at any time by visiting the Manage Subscriptions page.
 

When did this change take place, I've never been notified about this?

All Click 'n Go customers were sent an email about the change on 6th August, with a follow-up reminder to notify them of the merger of Click 'n Go into Netregistry and subsequent closure of the Click 'n Go brand. If you never received this email, perhaps your email address is incorrect. Please be sure to update your Account contact details with us to ensure that you don't miss out on important communication such as notifications and renewal notices.

Domain Name and DNS Management FAQ

Will my nameserver/DNS details change?

No. Your existing DNS settings will continue to operate as normal. It is worth noting that all new subscriptions will be configured with Netregistry DNS server names upon setup, but this will happen automatically for you.

Are there any changes to how I manage my domains?

No. You will be managing your domains the same way, however Netregistry does have an improved user interface for the Console.

Are there differences in domain prices and what price will I renew at?

All existing renewals will be processed at your existing prices. Domain registration prices in Click 'n Go included DNS management. However, Netregistry domain registration do not include DNS management (it is sold separately) hence they are lower in price for registrations.

Will my domain registrar change to Netregistry?

For your existing domain names, your registrar will not change. All new domains that are registered will be done so via Netregistry.

Web Hosting Questions

Will this affect the hosting of my website?

All existing Click 'n Go hosting customers will remain on their current hosting platforms and packages. Managing your current hosting should be business as usual, and if you need to, you can upgrade at a later stage to a new Netregistry product if you feel it better suits your needs.

Do the inclusions in my web hosting package change?

No. All current agreements will be honoured until they are cancelled.
