Create a contact list in Mailroom

Before creating an email campaign or sending out any marketing emails, you will need to create a contact list to send your campaign out to. To create a contact list, follow these instructions:

  1. Log into the Console
  2. Manage your domain
  3. Click [Mailroom] in the left column
  4. Click [Contact Lists]
  5. Select [Create a Contact List]
  6. Complete the required fields
  7. Click [Save]

Create a contact list fields

The table below explains what the different fields on the Create a Contact List page are used for.

List Name The name of the list as it will appear both in the control panel and on your subscription forms.
List Owners Name The name of the person who owns this list. This is the default name that appears when you send an email campaign to this contact list.
List Owners Email Emails are sent to this address when someone subscribes or unsubscribes from your contact list. This is also the default 'From' email address used when sending an email campaign to this contact list.
List Reply-To Email  This is the default reply address used when you send an email campaign to this contact list.
List Bounce Email This is the default bounce address used when you send an email campaign to this contact list. This is used if an invalid email address has been added to your contact list.
Notify the List Owner If this option is selected, the contact list owner will be sent a notification email whenever someone contacts or unsubscribes from this contact list.
Custom Fields Select the custom fields that you want to be used with this specific contact list.
Visible Fields Select which of the default fields you want to be used with this specific contact list.
Company Details  You can add your company name here to be used as a custom field in your emails so that you can adhere to the CAN-SPAM act.
