RESOLVED: Unscheduled interruption to service – some VPS clients affected – 15/04/2013

UPDATE: 23:35 AEST 15th April 2013

Following maintenance operations, the service degradation continued until approximately 7pm, however some intermittent periods of latency were apparent until 11pm. 

The service availability appears stable at this stage and we are monitoring the storage closely for any further issues. We apologise to customers and hope to prevent impact of this issue as much as possible on their production services.

Further updates will be posted if issues continue.

UPDATE: 18:08 AEST 15th April 2013

The permanent solution for this issue is in place and is expected to be fully implemented in approximately 1 hour. A resolution notice will be posted when we have received confirmation from ICT regarding completion of implementation.

UPDATE: 16:24 AEST 15th April 2013

The issue in the morning was resolved by 1pm AEST, however it has reoccurred again and our engineers are working on this issue with the vendor IBM as a priority.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Further update will be posted.

The Netregistry technical service team would like to acknowledge and advise of a current unscheduled interruption to our VPS hosting services.

Services effected

  • Some client owned VPS servers within the Netregistry VPS infrastructure

The affected customers are experiencing disk latency, with the most noticeable impact being slow website loading speeds on the affected VPS machines. 

We are currently in contact with IBM on this issue, and hope to have a full resolution shortly. Further notice updates will be posted when confirmed as resolved by the engineers.


Customers using the above listed services may experience downtime or connection issues throughout the duration of the service interruption. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes and will be posting updates to this notice until the current issues are resolved.
